Yeah the title sums it up. A pro flu vax cartoon episode? It was on yesterday as we were getting ready to go to the park. A little to “political” for my taste. We are heavily leaning towards NOT getting the vax, in fact 99% sure we are not getting it. It is tvegetarian either, so if I am going to do something non veg, I would prefer Oscillococcinum (sp?) instead. It is great for the flu, but not veggie, argh.

I got a code okay, a few free Shutterfly book codes. I am making DD an ABC book, with items from her life. D will be a pic of her Dad. B- Her Teddy Bear, Beary White, etc.I think I have 3 FREE books I need to make! You have to pay up to $8 Shipping and tax, but an 8×8 hardcover book for that price  is awesome!

Next I want to find items in nature that look like letters, and make THAT into a book!

When DD is older I want to turn her drawings into books.

I bought most of DD’s summer 2010 wardrobe at ON/Target/Kohl’s/ Maddie & Mo’s for around $50. Some things were a dollar. For play clothes I just want cheap stuff (while still being cute), as DD is a messy girl! I got some Winter stuff for next year, too. And her Gap Warmest Coat (for under $30) should last 2 years! Last Winter she had the CUTEST Pediped boots. I got them again for next Winter, a pair of Pediped sneaks and a pair of snowboots for this year for $55  after $24 cash back. Under $19 per pair average! SWEET!!!!! And her digital camera for under $20 that is on amazon for $60 that I got from Target.com this week! living on one income is NOT easy, so I have to really watch what I spend! Hopefully DD goes to P-School soon, and Mommy gets a job!

Especially one that has been a champion sleeper, that now is having napping, and night waking issues. And I am sick, and now DH. DD started acting sick  1 1/2 weeks ago. Sniffles… Then a few days later her neck, AKA her throat hurt. She has been coughing at night. DH wants me to make him soup, so I thought this video would work.

On a daily basis she takes

  • A Bengal Bite MV from NF’s
  • A Vit D chewable
  • A Calcium & D veggie gummy
  • & C during the Winter

For her URI, I mix them all with a touch of water 2x/day.

  • Chestal Honey Cough Syrup
  • Children’s Echinacea drops
  • Apitherapy Organic Honey & Elderberry
  • Hyland’s Sniffles and Sneezes

For me.

  • Umcka (on sale at Basha’s)
  • Coldcalm
  • Same Apitherapy as DD
  • Hylands S&S, DD’s
  • Slippery Elm Lozenges

It has been no fun for any of us the past week or so. I am finally starting to feel better.  Sinupret for kids rocks, but NF’s nor Wags carries it! Argh… we just finished hers…

It discusses e. Coli, how one package of ground beef has beef from different sources including URUGUAY, and how Cargill meat packers are the LARGEST private US company worth billions! And how some of it is treated with AMMONIA, so gross.Did you know your ground beef was coming partially from foreign countries, whose standards may not meet, the lax FDA or USDA’s?

Kuddos to Costco for implementing their own testing, Tyson refuses to supply them, because they don’t WANT Costco to test THEIR meat. Wonder why….

Seriously people have died from eating bad meat, you owe it to yourself and your children to see how meat in the country goes from a cow to the supermarket.
