Police looking for carjacking suspect

Flagstaff police are looking for a man that nearly kidnapped a woman during an attempted carjacking Thursday afternoon
According to information from the Flagstaff Police Department, a woman was sitting in her vehicle in the Smokerise neighborhood on the east side of the city when a man approached, pushed her into the passenger seat and started to drive. The victim told investigators that the carjacker drove the vehicle at a high rate of speed before losing control and crashing into a parked car on the 5700 block of Smokerise Drive. The victim, shaken but uninjured, ran to a nearby home and started banging on the door until the resident answered. The suspect fled on foot. He is described as a white male, 20 to 30, 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans and athletic-type shoes.
