This may be my most revealing post ever!
DH and I have wanted a larger home for a while…
If we refi, we could take money out to update out home. We live in a newer subdivision (read Walnut Ridge or Meadows , Aspen Trails, Ponderosa Trails,Foxwood, Boulder Point, etc). Our house needs: granite and stainless appliances in the kitchen, a deck, and a few other things. We think now would be a good time to fix the house up to sell within the year. We could get a home with enough room for a steal now! In a year, I am sure could get a deal,too. We have an issue with our home that could deter people (read; crappy neighbors, backing I-40, steep driveway, small lot, etc), so we need to OVER compensate for it. Most people have granite and stainless, so we need it, too. We need to make the interior of the home so amazing that people ignore the flaw. If we could get a deal on a hot tub, that would help, too.
