So I was thinking. I actually came up with a good plan, why not do a Biggest Loser type competition with another couple? I called one of my best girl friends, and asked if she wanted to do a Biggest Loser Couples Flagstaff. She thought it was a great idea, as we both have a few post baby pounds to lose.  What better way to lose weight and be healthier than with the support of a great girl friend AND your hubby? A little healthy competition can only help!

Just an idea…. But, it may work for other people, too. I never did join the Aquaplex. A lot of the classes are $6 a class, and with babysitting $2/hour, if I did yoga 2x/week, that would be an additional $64 a month!!!! Not the great deal it had originally appeared to be. I would rather try a Biggest Loser DVD, hopefully with Hubby! I can get a Biggest Loser DVD for less than $10, and they get great reviews and it is a few workouts on one DVD, most are 20 or so mins, so the time excuse is out the window!

Help save the poor toys!

Help save the small wonderful toymakers, makers of children’s wares, and other items that will be made ILLEGAL if   CPSIA isn’t reformed. We will no longer be able to buy our children great handmade toys from Etsy, or Europe, or from SAHM’s !!! PLEASE get involved!!!!

So the US passed a new act The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). It is a death sentence for small toy makers and importers of European toys. Basically small US toy makers that make wooden SAFE toys , and SAFE European toys imported by small US companies are effed. Please read this info, do it for your kids. This is a time when people need to do what they can to help the little guy. Selecta Toys made in Germany, are stopping sales in the US due to the high cost of testing. They pass all safety tests in the EU, and their standards have been higher than ours for years.
Get involved. This affects small manufacturers, small businesses like Zen Baby that sell great stuff from these smaller companies,  etc. This affects your children having high quality non-mass produced toys. I blogged before about the fact that I am getting rid of a lot of my plastic battery operated junk. I planned on replacing it over time with quality European, PLAN toys stuff, and American or Canadian made stuff.  PLEASE get everyone you know involved in this!!!!!!!!!

Downtown’s Gene “the rose man”, has passed away. He was such a sweet and kind soul. I remember when his dog Toy passed away how sad I was for him, and more than that how this great community stepped up to get him a scooter and a new dog. Gene was never the same after the loss of Toy.
He once gave me a rose on my B-day, he was such a great guy. He was voted by FlagLive as the hardest working Flag Citizen a few years back. I hope he knows how much he will be missed and what an impression he left on so many.

Rest in Peace Gene, enjoy your time with Toy….

Okay, new to me at least. I started using Jojoba oil, and it works really well! I bought a little 2 oz bottle from NF’s in the health and beauty section. I love that it is a spray bottle, and it helps tons! Easy to use, all natural, Jojoba rocks as a booty rash treatment!

Another of my Flag favs! Last month there was break dancing at Black Hound, Fire Dancers at the Green Room, and the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile! There were also Free Hugs from Amnesty International! I wonder what tonight has in store?

I hate Bratz dolls. To me it looks like they took Barbie, dropped her off in the ghetto, and she became um well, a street walker. She dresses like a Vegas Showgirl and wears more make-up than Japanese Geisha. That is my opinion. I think they are so ghetto and look trashy. I don’t want my daughter playing with dolls that look like that, Barbie nowadays is dressed skimpy enough. Barbie used to be a nice girl… I hope her ghetto cousin from the hood Bratz, ceases to exist now.

This story made me sick, absolutely sick.  I am pro-boobies for one, and I cannot understand how this woman thought watering down formula was okay in any way. There are so many things I could say…. I have to say she has an 18 month old and then a 5 month old and she is broke and 23. Ummmm, why do we need a license to get married when idiots have babies everyday? Sometimes I just want to reach out and smack someone. I want to see the 18 month old….
